Mr. Shrestha, the founding Managing Director of Solutions Consultant Pvt. Ltd. a management consulting company in Nepal, brings more than 17 years of experience in the advisory services on private development sector and strategic research. He has experiences working with a variety of organizations including multilateral institutions and development organizations. Mr. Shrestha is a well-recognized expert in providing advisory services to private businesses in the country especially in regards to market research, strategy, and operational plan, and advising them to increase efficiency through operational restructuring. Mr. Shrestha is also a visiting faculty at Kathmandu School of Management (KUSOM), Nepal, and Institute of Engineering (IOE), Nepal.

Mr. Deepak Rajbhandary, a regular member of BoD since June 2012, is a Fulbright Scholar and banking expert with 25 years of experience. He has served in Nabil Bank Ltd., one of the leading banks in Nepal, for seven years and another 15 years in Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Ltd., one of the few multinational banks in Nepal, as a member of a senior management team. Similarly, he has worked in the capacity of a General Manager of Bank of Asia, a locally promoted bank. His working area in the banking industry spanned over corporate banking, client relationship, human resource management, and operations. Mr. Rajbhandary is also a visiting faculty in the Global MBA program of South Asian Institute of Management College, Nepal.

Mr. Vaidya, the founder and the Managing Director of the company, brings more than 15 years of professional experience in Investment Banking. His area of expertise includes management of public issuance of equity/debt, private placement of equity/debt, and management of secondary offering of securities. He is also an expert of corporate finance advisory in capital structure planning, financial restructuring and business valuation, and investment management especially portfolio management of listed stocks. He is equally well-versed in private equity fund management in business ventures. Mr. Vaidya is a Fulbright Scholar and holds MBA from Brandeis University, USA (2008), and Kathmandu University School of Management (2000). Mr. Vaidya is also a visiting faculty for MBA students at Kathmandu University School of Management.

Mr. Dip Prakash Panday, an institutional shareholder at Shikhar Insurance Company Ltd. (SICL), brings more than two decades of experience in the insurance industry to the board. He is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at SICL. He had served as a General Manager at Everest Insurance for around ten years before joining SICL. His career of working in a national and international market with utmost professionalism and prudence and his detailed focus on teamwork has helped him become the trusted name in Nepali insurance industry. He conducts lecture and training sessions on insurance in various programs organized by Beema Samiti, national regulatory body for insurance companies in Nepal, and in other similar programs. He has also attended various training programs in the theme in countries like UK, India, etc.

Mr. Ujaya Shakya, the founder, and the managing director of Outreach Nepal Pvt. Ltd., a leading advertising/branding agency in Nepal, and the Vice President of Advertising Association of Nepal (AAN). He is a management expert with expertise on strategic 360-degree communication/branding, and social communication development – career spanning over 16 years. Mr. Shakya is the author of “Brandsutra", and a columnist for The Himalayan Times (one of the leading national daily newspapers) under column name “Brandbasics.” He is also a regular contributor for “Dispatch from Nepal” in Campaign Asia Pacific. He has served major brands in Nepal including some of the largest FMCG brands, financial & insurance products, consumer durables, automobiles, telecommunication, entertainment industries, spirits, and development projects.

Management Team

Kriti Capital’s service sets a benchmark in the industry more than 35 years of cumulative experience in: Capital Markets, Financial Advisory, Securities/Industry Research, Valuations, Capital Restructuring, Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Asset Management.

Mr. Vaidya leads the 'Team Kriti Capital' towards the ultimate goal to provide unbeatable service to our customers. He has worked in the capital market-related services in Nepal, and in the United States. Further, Mr. Vaidya has also worked as a head of merchant banking department of NMB Bank for six years. At NMB, he was engaged in managing IPOs, private placement of shares and bonds in Nepal. Mr. Vaidya worked for 14 months as a research analyst at Knight Capital Group (KCG) – one of the leading Wall Street firms in the United States. At KCG, Mr. Vaidya covered automobile, energy, financial industry and REITs. Upon his return to Nepal in 2009, he started working in Vibor Capital Ltd. At Vibor, wherein he worked for 15 months, he looked into areas like private equity and real estate businesses in Nepal.

Since December 2011, he has been with Kriti Capital as the founder and Managing Director. He is an MBA graduate from Brandeis University, the USA under the Fulbright Scholarship. He has also contributed to policy review report entitled "Review of IPO Process in Nepal and Study of Prerequisites for Introducing Free Pricing in IPOs in Nepal" for Securities Board of Nepal. He also serves as a resource person to various workshops and programs organized by different entities including Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).

Mr. Deepesh K. Vaidya

Mr. Giri comes from a commercial lending background and has experience in consortium lending, infrastructure and project financing in Nepal. He also has hands on experience in lending to SME and M-SME clients and managing distress assets at times. He has an MBA from Kathmandu University School of Management.

Since joining Kriti Capital, he has been managing Corporate Financial Advisory/ Investment Banking Department. He is directly involved in deals solicitation, deals screening, Due Diligence, Actual Investments, Post Investment Management and Exits. His area of expertise include Business Valuation, Structuring lending deals, Capital Structuring, Client management and process management. He has keen interest in the changing Private equity landscape in Nepal and abroad. He has carried out different capital market researches in Nepal.

Mr. Eshant Giri

Mr. Chand is an MBA (Finance) graduate from Kathmandu University School of Management. He also has a B.Tech in Electronics & Communications Engineering and LLB in Corporate Finance. Mr. Chand has been a part of Kriti Capital since April 2014 and is currently the head of Portfolio Management Services (PMS). He oversees overall portfolio management, including client acquisition, relationship management, marketing, operations, trading, research & overall portfolio structuring. Mr. Chand brings in three years of international experience in the technology industry and has worked as the visiting faculty at KU School of Management. He has authored two articles related to business and investment scenario of Nepalese garment and insurance industry in reputed National business magazines. He has been involved in investment analysis, deal solicitation, investor presentation, business valuation and financial reporting services for various hydro power, hotel, restaurant and manufacturing companies of Nepal.

Mrs. Thapa is an expert at public issuance of shares, registrar of shares, DEMAT services, and operations of portfolio management services. She has over eight years of experience in the field. Her previous career points include serving at Nepal Finance Limited and Vibor Capital Limited. She oversees the operations department at Kriti Capital.

Mrs. Roshy Shrestha is an MBA graduate from South Asiain Institute of Management (SAIM) affiliated to Pokhara University (one of the leading Universities in Nepal). She graduated in 2015 with specialization in marketing. Her core areas of expertise include integrated marketing communications, brand management and consumer behavior management. She has been involved with Kriti Capital since the beginning of 2016 and currently serving as an In-Charge of Client Relationship Management & Marketing Department.
Her notable areas of focus include client acquisition, client relationship management and devising and overseeing the overall digital marketing strategy at Kriti Capital. She has attended training in Banking and Insurance Management from School of Banking and Research (SBBR). Mrs. Shrestha has also attended training in portfolio management and stock analysis.

Mr. Rajbahak, a Bachelor's Degree holder in Business Studies, has over five years of experience in the field of accounting and finance. Before Kriti Capital in August 2014, he worked as an Audit Associate in an Audit firm where he got engaged in auditing various for-profit and non-profit organizations. He has unbeaten expertise in financial management, taxation, and auditing. At Kriti Capital, he oversees treasury, procurement management, reconciliation of public issuance of shares, and portfolio maturity.

Advisory Board

Kriti Capital has an advisory team of selected professionals to provide strategic support to the management team. The advisory team involves in deal-executions and in rendering related services as and when required.

Mr. Dhungel is the founding Chairman of Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) for which he led SEBON for more than ten years as a Chairperson before his retirement in 2003. Mr. Dhungel began his career in Nepal Rastra Bank (Central Bank of Nepal), and later part of his career for the development of capital markets in Nepal. He had also served as an Executive Director of Citizen Investment Trust. He is a key person to advice on Kriti Capital's business and operations.

Mr. Tiwari, a Harvard graduate, is the founding director of Himal Media. He later also led Himal Media as a CEO. At Kriti Capital, Mr. Tiwari advises Kriti Capital on soliciting and executing services of the company.

Mr. Tiwari has more than 15 years of experience in Nepal, Bangladesh, and the US in leading and managing social, commercial and non-profit ventures. He is a highly sought-after corporate governance specialist, and an expert on labor unions. In 2008, he co-founded Entrepreneurs for Nepal, a network of entrepreneurs, through which he has mentored more than 40 commercial and social entrepreneurs. In 2011, the World Economic Forum, which hosts the annual Davos conference, recognized him as a 'Young Global Leader' for his contribution towards commercial, government, social and non-profit sectors across the world. Currently, he is a Director at SunFarmer Nepal and the CEO of Sherpa Adventure Gear.
